LOS ANGELES — Billie Eilish released a new perfume Friday in a bottle shaped like a tiny gold naked woman on her knees. Her team called it vulnerability. The website called it $165.
The ad shows Eilish leaning in to smell herself. Behind her is the stolen land she likes to mention. In front of her is a shopping cart. The land does not get a cut. Visa does.
A small card on the table announced that the event was held on stolen land. Nobody moved the kneeling woman off it. They put a price on her and a buy link under the whisper.
After the speech about giving, her office circulated a list of donations. It had one line: the public may now own a kneeling gold version of her at $165. An aide called this leading by example. The example remains in stock.
Friends said the whole thing was on brand. They defined the brand as dressing like money is embarrassing and charging like it isn’t.
A woman in West Hollywood bought two. “One is for me,” she said. “One is so I can keep talking.” She put both in a black bag and walked to her Bentley. The Bentley was also on the land.
Asked for comment, the bottle stayed on its knees. The land stayed stolen. The cart stayed full. The revolution, sources said, ships in 3–5 business days.
